Grover Cleveland

Stephen Grover Cleveland (March 18, 1837 – June 24, 1908) was an American politician and lawyer who served as President of the United States for two terms, from 1885 to 1889 and 1893 to 1897. He was the first president in American history to serve two nonconsecutive terms in office. Over the course of three elections, he received the majority of the popular vote, and he was one of two Democrats (followed by Woodrow Wilson in 1912) to be elected president during a time period of Republican presidential dominance that spanned from 1861 to 1933.
