Lyndon B. Johnson
Often known as LBJ, Lyndon Baines Johnson, served as the 36th president of the United States from 1963 to 1969, and previously as the 37th vice president from 1961 to 1963. Following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, he assumed the presidency. As a Democrat from Texas, Johnson had served as a U.S. representative and later, as the majority leader in the U.S. Senate. Johnson is one of only four people to have served in all four federal elected offices at some stage in their career.
