Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of prints do you sell?

Three: Fine Art Paper (matte), Luster Photo Paper, and Mounted Canvas. Each portrait’s product page lists the sizes available for that image.

What is the paper quality?

Paper is sourced from Japan. Fine art paper is 10.3 mil (0.26 mm), 189 g/m², with an ISO brightness of 104%. Luster photo paper is 10 mil (0.25 mm), 260 g/m². Both use a multicolor, water-based inkjet process.

Does luster paper show fingerprints?

Luster mixes a gloss and matte finish and resists fingerprints. It is a good choice for photographic prints.

What are the canvas specs?

Canvas has a poly-cotton base, 20.5 mil (0.5 mm) thick, 13.9 oz/yd² (470 g/m²). It is textured, fade-resistant, acid-free, and PH-neutral.

Do canvas prints arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas is hand-glued onto solid wood stretcher bars, 1.5 inches (3.81 cm) deep, with mounting brackets included.

How quickly do you fulfill orders?

Most orders ship within 5 business days. About half ship within 3 business days or less. Prints are made to order and fulfilled locally in North America and Europe.

Do you offer free shipping?

Orders of $50 or more ship free to the United States, Canada, and Europe. Prices are in US dollars. We do not list a shipping method outside those regions. Details are on the Shipping page.

What is the return policy?

Prints are custom-made, so we cannot offer refunds. If an order arrives damaged or with a shipping or handling issue, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will replace the affected item.

Are these original paintings?

No. These are contemporary prints after historic portraits. Artist, date, and sitting notes on a product page come from published museum records when those records are clear.

How long does a canvas print last?

The canvas is fade-resistant. Keep it out of direct sun and in stable humidity, as you would any print on the wall.
