Description
This print reproduces Pete Souza’s White House photograph of Barack Obama meeting the Democratic Blue Dog Coalition in the State Dining Room on February 10, 2009. The Blue Dogs were a caucus of fiscally conservative House Democrats. Three weeks into the administration, Obama was assembling votes for the stimulus bill that became the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, signed February 17, 2009.
Souza, chief official White House photographer, recorded the working lunch as part of the Photo Office daily file. This is a group documentary still, not an Oval Office camera portrait and not McCurdy’s 2018 Collection oil. The listing follows the February 10, 2009 State Dining Room meeting named in the shop file.
This listing is a contemporary print from the photograph, not a vintage print from the sitting. Choose fine art paper, luster photo paper, or mounted canvas.
