Description
This print reproduces Pete Souza’s White House photograph of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama walking to Marine One on the South Lawn on March 7, 2009, before a flight to Camp David. Souza, chief official White House photographer, recorded the departure as part of the daily Photo Office file. Marine One is the presidential helicopter. The South Lawn walk is a public departure still from the first weeks of the administration.
