This print reproduces Pete Souza’s White House photograph of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama dancing at the Governors Ball in the East Room on February 22, 2009. Earth, Wind and Fire performed. The National Governors Association winter meeting brought governors to Washington. The White House hosted the ball in the East Room, a public-entertainment still from the first weeks of the administration.
A tighter dancing frame from the same evening is sold separately here. Neither picture is the 2012 Oval Office camera portrait or McCurdy’s 2018 Collection oil. Souza’s Photo Office file is the source. The listing follows the February 22, 2009 Governors Ball named in the shop file.
