This print reproduces Pete Souza’s White House photograph of Barack Obama aboard Air Force One on February 5, 2009, wearing an AF1 jacket. The shop caption records the first flight from Andrews Air Force Base to Newport News, Virginia. Souza documented the trip as chief official White House photographer. The still is an interior of the presidential aircraft, not an Oval Office sitting.
This is not the December 6, 2012 camera portrait and not McCurdy’s 2018 Collection oil. The February 5, 2009 Virginia trip came early in the first term, during the opening push for the recovery bill. The listing follows the first Air Force One flight named in the shop file.
