Description
This print reproduces Pete Souza’s White House photograph of Barack Obama seated in the Oval Office on January 21, 2009, his first full day as president. Souza documented the new president at the Resolute Desk before the furniture and pictures of the room had taken on the later Obama arrangement. The still belongs to the inaugural Photo Office series.
This is not the December 6, 2012 official Oval Office camera portrait, sold separately here, which shows a second-term interior. It is not McCurdy’s 2018 White House Collection oil. Companion January 21 frames, including the Clinton meeting and the foreign-leader call, record the same morning. The listing follows the first-day seated picture named in the shop file.
This listing is a contemporary print from the photograph, not a vintage print from the sitting. Choose fine art paper, luster photo paper, or mounted canvas.
