Description
This print reproduces Herbert E. Abrams’s 1982 oil on canvas of Jimmy Carter, the White House Collection portrait cataloged by the White House Historical Association. Abrams painted Carter after the presidency. The canvas is about 38 by 32 inches.
Carter sits in a dark suit, a late-twentieth-century state likeness funded in the era when the White House Historical Association commissioned portraits of recent presidents. A separate 1977 Department of Defense photograph, the color official photo from the first year in office, is sold separately here. That photograph is not this oil.
The Association lists Abrams 1982 as the Collection portrait of the thirty-ninth president. The 1977 photograph is a different object.
This listing is a contemporary print after the painting, not the original oil. Choose fine art paper, luster photo paper, or mounted canvas.
