John Adams

John Adams was an American statesman, solicitor, negotiator, journalist, and Founding Father who served as the second president of the United States from 1797 to 1801. Prior to being elected President, he was a central player in the American Revolution that culminated in the country’s liberation from Great Britain, and he also served as the country’s first Vice President. Adams was a devoted diarist who was always in touch with influential early American figures, including his wife and advisor Abigail Adams and future President Thomas Jefferson.
